Glasser, Correlli Glass, and Inova Glass are three Mexican companies with a long history in the glass industry. In addition to their shared origin and extensive track record, they have two more things in common: teamwork and a commitment to TUROMAS smart machinery.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cWe found it to be a practical machine, designed with the customer’s needs in mind, rather than the machinery manufacturer’s needs, and it has given us very good results.\u201d<\/p>\n Jorge Guzm\u00e1n<\/strong><\/p>\n PRESIDENT OF GLASSER<\/p>\n Glasser<\/a> (In the [Glasser] section), as it is known today, was born 30 years ago. Before that, it was preceded by Vitrocolor and, much earlier, other companies. This is because the Guzm\u00e1n name has been present in the glass industry since 1931. Jorge Guzm\u00e1n, the current president of the Glasser business group, represents the third generation of the family business.<\/p>\n After focusing on molten and blown glass, the company now processes flat glass and specializes in glass for household appliances. From its three plants located in Mexico City, Quer\u00e9taro, and Santiago de Chile, it sells to South America and the United States.<\/p>\n The Mexican group’s main objective is to offer excellent customer service. This is for a client base that increasingly demands higher standards and more precision in the product, tempering, colors, and finishing\u2026 A demand that has led the company to automate processes. This is where the implementation of TUROMAS advanced technology comes into play.<\/p>\n Glasser and TUROMAS first met in D\u00fcsseldorf (Germany) at the 24th edition of Glasstec, the world’s leading trade fair for the glass industry, held in 2016. Something that particularly caught their attention was the configuration and performance of the cutting table\u2014technical features they had not found in other European brands.<\/p>\n Furthermore, \u201cwe found it to be a practical machine, designed with the customer’s needs in mind, rather than the machinery manufacturer’s needs, and it has given us very good results,\u201d says Jorge.<\/p>\n The monolithic glass cutting table installed in the Quer\u00e9taro factory is the RUBI 513VAC model<\/a> (In the [Glasser] section) and works in connection with an MT 300 breakout table<\/a> (In the [Glasser] section). This table is capable of feeding three continuous high-production lines and has made it possible to manufacture up to one million pieces per month. <\/p>\n Along with the increase in production, the machine has solved several problems the company had with \u201cloading glass onto the cutting table, zero-point positioning, speed and accuracy in cutting, and the speed of transferring sheets to bring in the next pane of glass,\u201d Jorge lists. <\/p>\n Growth has not only come from new technologies that help perform the work better; the human factor is and has been fundamental. \u201cWe like working as a team; we like creating creative and collaborative work teams,\u201d<\/strong> the president acknowledges. \u201cWe are all Glasser,\u201d<\/strong> is their motto. <\/p>\n \u201cIt is important to have a solid brand like TUROMAS because, if we want to be the best, we must be with the best brands.\u201d<\/p>\n C\u00e9sar Castellanos<\/strong><\/p>\n PRESIDENT OF CORRELLI GLASS<\/p>\n In 1991, C\u00e9sar Castellanos and Silvia S\u00e1nchez, husband and wife, founded Correlli Glass<\/a> (In the [Correlli Glass] section). At that time, all glass processes were manual, within workdays that had a clear start but an uncertain end.<\/p>\n The fact of starting the business from scratch and performing the work manually meant they were surprised when they first saw TUROMAS cutting tables. The meticulous manufacturing and robustness of the machines gave them the confidence to cut large glass sheets.<\/p>\n The Mexican entrepreneurial couple has experimented with other brands, but since finding TUROMAS, they have been \u201cdelighted with how they have adapted to our needs and not us to their established lines,\u201d C\u00e9sar maintains.<\/p>\n Compared to other manufacturers, they were also impressed by the speed and precision in glass cutting. They also acknowledge that the TUROMAS loading system for lifting and handling glass sheets has helped them improve the performance and efficiency of their processes. The combination Correlli Glass trusted was the RUBI 403VAC-6<\/a> monolithic glass cutting table and the MT 300 breakout table<\/a> (In the [Correlli Glass] section).<\/p>\n Furthermore, the triad of efficiency, performance, and precision is fundamental for coated glass, whose installation is a current architectural trend in facades and windows, according to the director. <\/p>\n Nearly three decades of history have seen a lot, and ten years ago, they moved into tempered glass. Today, Correlli Glass has the largest number of tempering furnaces in Mexico City. Their capacity and standards differentiate them from the rest because they offer 24-hour service; in fact, they were pioneers in quickly attending to customers at any hour, day or night.<\/p>\n The Mexican company is very well positioned in the furniture, decoration, automotive, and architecture sectors. Among some of its most important clients are Saint-Gobain and the Posadas and Quinta Real hotel groups. Every month, they work on the glazing and decoration of a hotel for the latter chain.<\/p>\n The Pachuca Metrob\u00fas, the Mexico Exhibition Center, and several of the most important Mexican museums are some of Correlli Glass’s most emblematic projects. In the near future, they have new and interesting projects in Monterrey, and \u201cit is important to have a solid brand like TUROMAS\u201d because \u201cif we want to be the best, we must be with the best brands,\u201d C\u00e9sar maintains.<\/p>\n However, the secret of this company\u2019s success would not be possible without its people. \u201cI love working on values with all my staff; I believe it is the foundation of success for any type of company,\u201d acknowledges Silvia, who affectionately calls the nearly two hundred workers across the Mexico City and Monterrey plants her \u201cchildren.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe cutting lines and the smart warehouse we have acquired are the most technologically advanced, with edge-deleting, vacuum systems, labeling machines, linear motors\u2026 and that has helped us tremendously.\u201d<\/p>\nGlasser<\/h2>\n
