TUROMAS in Asia
More than 34 years ago, TUROMAS could never have imagined the global reach it has today, with a presence in more than 120 countries across different continents and an ongoing expansion process. This past February, the drive to reach further led TUROMAS to Asia.
Thanks to cooperation with K-Star as a distributor in South Korea, TUROMAS has maintained a presence in the Asian market since 2014.
Despite this, the company has set a primary goal for this year to reinforce its positioning in the Asian market by opening new markets across the continent.
Álvaro Tomás, Vice President of TUROMAS, began a trip through Southeast Asia with the intention of strengthening TUROMAS’ positioning in this market, taking advantage of the positive expectations of the glass sector in these countries and joining forces with new distributors in the area.
The journey through Southeast Asia began in India. The country holds great appeal, having resisted the global economic slowdown better than other emerging nations. Furthermore, it is currently in a period of economic growth driven largely by the construction sector, which points toward positive long-term expectations for the glass industry.
TUROMAS continued its expansion, with Vietnam as the next destination. The Vietnamese economy has experienced dynamic economic growth since the beginning of the century, which is expected to be maintained in the long term.
With the help of Thorngate Sales Corp. and Eurotechcorp (In the [TUROMAS in Asia] section) as TUROMAS distributors in India and Vietnam respectively, the company is entering both markets by strengthening ties between these firms and TUROMAS.
