The fifteenth edition of the Teruel Business Awards was held yesterday, Monday, March 25, 2019, in the Assembly Hall of the Delegation of the Government of Aragon in Teruel. The four distinctions—Internationalization Award, Innovation Award, Business Career Award, and Teruel Business Award—went to Conservas Calanda, Teruel Airport, TUROMAS, and MotocrossCenter, respectively.

Álvaro Tomás, Vice President of TUROMAS, and Antonio Ortega, CEO of the company, collected the award from Carlos Torre, President of CEOE Teruel.

In his speech, Álvaro Tomás expressed his gratitude for the work of everyone who has made it possible for TUROMAS (In the [#TUROMASNEWS] section) to become a global benchmark in the manufacture of smart machinery for storing, loading, and cutting glass.

He also remembered to mention his father, Miguel Tomás, the precursor of this project that started more than three decades ago, turning a passion into a career.

For his part, Antonio Ortega emphasized the importance of administrations supporting and incentivizing companies to continue growing, to incorporate qualified personnel, and to help the provincial economy expand. For economic growth, high-standard broadband coverage is relevant.

In addition to the four recognitions, the CEOE-CEPYME Seed Award was also presented to recognize the work of young entrepreneurs. On this occasion, it went to Agro Intelligent, a project focused on creating and developing technology applied to Agriculture 2.0 and Industry 4.0.

The intent of the Teruel Business Award is to recognize and value the high level of commitment of companies in Teruel, regardless of their field of activity, for their journey toward excellent management.
