TUROMAS Machinery at Flat Glass Distributors
All the new glass storage, loading, and cutting machinery at Flat Glass Distributors bears the TUROMAS seal. The relationship between the Spanish firm and the American company emerged thanks to IGE Glass Technologies, the TUROMAS distributor in North America.
The American company has invested in an SR-07 (In the [TUROMAS Machinery at Flat Glass Distributors] section) automatic warehouse. Its robustness, performance, safety, and present and future adaptability have made it the best solution for their storage needs.
Through an innovative and powerful dragging system, the SR-07 positions fully loaded glass racks next to the cutting table. The transfer of glass from these racks to the table is performed by an LR-07 automatic loader.
While the SR-03 and SR-06 models can load standard and Jumbo size sheets respectively, the SR-07 version can handle a seven, six, or three-meter sheet, or two three-meter sheets simultaneously.
Regarding the cutting table, FGD has relied on the RUBI 306C (In the [TUROMAS Machinery at Flat Glass Distributors] section) to achieve extraordinary cutting excellence in glass from 1.8 to 25 millimeters and minimize subsequent glass processing, reducing production times and costs.
The durability and resistance of the table base to water, chemicals, impacts, or bending is guaranteed thanks to the combination of the aluminum board with the TFS advanced planimetry system.
The RUBI 306C table at the American company is combined with an MT 600B4 breakout table.

History of Flat Glass Distributors
Flat Glass Distributors (FGD), located in northeast Jacksonville, Florida, is one of the fastest-growing glass fabrication and distribution companies in the American Southeast. It supplies hundreds of glass companies throughout Florida and Georgia.
It began its activity as a wholesale distributor of automotive and flat glass in the late 1950s. In the 80s, the business was organized into two divisions: glass distribution and flat glass fabrication and distribution. During this period, an insulating glass line was also introduced and edging equipment was incorporated.
In 2007, its true turning point came with the move to a 7,500 square meter building, the modernization of the facilities, and the investment in advanced machinery along with latest-technology solutions.
Something that has not changed at Flat Glass Distributors since the beginning of the project is its effort to manufacture products with the highest standards.

“If something doesn’t go right, we need to have the security of knowing we have someone behind us to keep moving forward. IGE and TUROMAS provide us with that level of security.”
