The excellence of the cut is the differential factor that makes this process more productive and efficient. When a perfect cut arises from glass, whether monolithic or laminated, additional processes are reduced. TUROMAS marks a difference in the cutting of 12+12 mm laminated safety glass.
Throughout its 30-year history, TUROMAS has been working at the highest international level, developing and improving its range of glass machinery in collaboration with leading laminated glass manufacturers. All of this has provided TUROMAS with specific knowledge that has allowed the Spanish company to stand at the forefront of these types of solutions.
In 1989, TUROMAS manufactured the first laminated glass cutting table, incorporating the two-tool cutting system now implemented in the market by all manufacturers.
Thanks to the systems that integrate and have integrated the LAM Series machinery range, TUROMAS has guaranteed maximum precision in every movement necessary to perform the scoring, breakout, and separation process of laminated glass.
Even so, these years have also served to show that improvements are always possible. Therefore, TUROMAS continues to work day by day together with its R&D team and its customers to improve and implement innovations that help facilitate and optimize the work on the plant floor for each of them.
Laminated Glass Machinery Range
TUROMAS offers its customers a wide range of laminated glass cutting machinery, from independent machines to fully automated lines.
The LAM 300 Series (In the [Laminated Glass Machinery Range] section) is aimed at companies looking for a versatile machine and high-standard cutting with top performance. Designed compactly, the table can work alongside a Rubi Series monolithic glass cutting table to create an efficient mixed cutting line for both monolithic and laminated glass.
The LAM 500 Series (In the [Laminated Glass Machinery Range] section) is oriented toward companies that require maximum productivity and automation. Designed to work integrated into a laminated glass cutting line or as part of a mixed line, it allows for the positioning, rotation, coating removal, cutting, and separation of glass up to 12 + 12 mm fully automatically, even for glass with high-hardness butyral.
Main Features
The structural design of the range is assembled as a single unit to increase robustness and avoid stresses that could compromise its operation. The table surface, made of aluminum boards, guarantees air flow and minimizes potential losses of the air cushion.
Glass positioning is performed using ‘honeycomb’ type belts with a non-slip texture, incorporating a traction system centered in the table structure. Thanks to this system, it is possible to move 10+10 mm or even 12+12 mm glass with total anti-slip guarantees, ensuring perfect positioning relative to the cutting bridge.
TUROMAS laminated glass cutting machinery enables the scoring of straight and curved shapes fully automatically, automating the scoring, heating, and subsequent separation process. This facilitates, for example, the diagonal cutting highly demanded today for the manufacture of railings.
All machines are designed, manufactured, and assembled at the facilities in Rubielos de Mora, Spain. In this way, every stage and production process is controlled to guarantee the high level of excellence that characterizes the TUROMAS brand.
Furthermore, they incorporate the best European components, global benchmarks in the industry, to ensure the highest reliability and performance under any circumstances.
All of them can be linked and communicate with the main commercial optimizers on the market. They also include software as standard in the control console for the creation and management of optimizations.

TUROMAS Cutting Head
The cutting head integrated into the range consists of two tools in the LAM 300 series and four tools in the LAM 500 series. TUROMAS is the only manufacturer in the world that features this technology. Each tool acts independently and is sized to exert the appropriate pressure for a specific range of glass thicknesses. The tools feature a height adjustment sensor and are offset from the vertical axis to ensure perfect alignment with the cut. Their design allows them to mechanically absorb glass irregularities. To ensure the best cutting results, the system actively controls the pressure exerted by each tool and stabilizes and regulates it continuously based on the glass thickness and cutting speed. The head features a constant lubrication system that favors the movement and penetration of the wheel into the glass to obtain a perfect cut and ensure correct operation over time.

Breakout and Separation System
Breakout is a key point to achieving maximum excellence in laminated glass cutting. TUROMAS uses sensors to control and ensure the ideal travel and pressure of the breakout tools for each glass thickness. The upper breakout tool is a nylon wheel that descends and moves along the glass to carefully perform the first operation, as it is the most critical. Next, a bar breaks the glass from its lower side. The PVB is heated by a specific infrared lamp that avoids heating the glass to preserve its properties; meanwhile, both sides of the glass are separated by the traction exerted by two sets of independent suction cups at the bottom to allow the entry of a blade that cuts the PVB. The lamp activation is adjusted to the size of the glass to be separated, activating only the necessary sections to save energy and speed up the process.

100% Compatibility with Low-E Glass
The entire range of machinery is fully compatible with low-emissivity coated glass, as at no point in the cutting process, nor by any device, is the part of the glass where the Low-E layer is located touched. This way of working is exclusive to TUROMAS worldwide, as recommended by low-emissivity glass manufacturers. They incorporate a high-performance stripping wheel system. This system is managed by a control device that constantly stabilizes and monitors the pressure applied for the perfect removal of the Low-E layer. The wheel is self-sharpening and incorporates an advanced suction system for stripping residues. Furthermore, the LAM 500 series features an automatic rotation system patented since 2001. This system acts through the combined movements of two independent suction cups that handle the lower side of the glass in the X and Y axes, offering rotation in safer conditions and avoiding contact with the low-emissivity layer of the glass at all times to preserve all its attributes.
