The Teruel-based company, whose main activity is the manufacture of intelligent machinery for storing, loading, and cutting flat glass, is reactivating its expansion plan and resuming the enlargement of its facilities after having paused it due to the pandemic and the lack of broadband connection.
The COVID-19 health crisis arrived at a time of full growth for the company. After having launched its expansion plan in 2019 with the افتتاح of its Center for Innovation and Special Developments (CIDET) and the construction of a new 2,000-square-meter work center, TUROMAS had to make the decision to halt all actions until the situation returned to normal.

After two years of general instability and economic uncertainty, everything seems to indicate that 2022 could be the year of full recovery from the pandemic. The figures from the sixth wave improve every day and, together with the high percentage of vaccinated population, this increases optimism and brings the end of the pandemic closer.
The Teruel-based company has managed to overcome this turbulent period and closes the 2021 financial year with record turnover figures, even surpassing pre-pandemic contracting values. In addition, travel restrictions did not prevent the company from maintaining expansion and internationalization as its main objectives, successfully consolidating new markets such as Thailand, Egypt, and Australia during 2021.
Along with the increase in contracts and the opening of new markets, the installation of fiber optics at TUROMAS was finally completed last November. The company distributes its equipment to clients in more than 120 countries, and therefore having broadband connectivity was essential to maintaining the competitiveness of the industry in the international market.
For all these reasons, the company has decided to immediately reactivate the expansion of its facilities through the construction of new production spaces. This second phase of the expansion plan is part of the strategic plan designed in 2016, which had to be interrupted due to the outbreak of the global COVID-19 pandemic.
“Halting the expansion plan and adjusting the company’s structure was not an easy decision, but it undoubtedly allowed us to overcome the most difficult situation in our nearly 40-year history.”
The reactivation of the expansion plan not only involves enlarging production spaces, but also creating a new production line that will increase output capacity and streamline production flows, maximizing the efficiency of current processes. In addition, this next expansion phase is expected to create up to 20 additional jobs, on top of the 90 employees currently working at the Rubielos de Mora facilities.
With this commitment, the company consolidates its growth while reaffirming its commitment to the town of Rubielos de Mora and to the development of the surrounding region.
In the end, this is where everything begins.
