Live glass, live TUROMAS. TUROMAS returns to Glasstec

Glasstec, this year held under the slogan Let’s go live, returned and closed with record figures that confirm its importance for the glass industry. TUROMAS, the Spanish manufacturer of machinery for glass storage, loading, and cutting, participated as an exhibitor after four years of waiting.

During the four days of the trade fair, from September 20 to 23, more than 30,000 visitors from over 120 countries came to Düsseldorf to experience the innovative power of this industry.

In line with the event’s slogan, TUROMAS wanted everyone visiting the stand to “live glass” and “live the TUROMAS product.” For this reason, during the four days of the exhibition, it opened its stand, its meeting areas, and its machines so that all visitors could enjoy first-hand the latest developments, showing exciting new opportunities for the Spanish company.

At this edition, TUROMAS was represented by Miguel Tomás, President of TUROMAS; Antonio Ortega, Chief Executive Officer; Álvaro Tomás, Vice President; Álvaro Doñate, Sales Director for Spain and Portugal; Oriol Llorens, Sales Director for Europe; Rodrigo Duarte, Juan Dávila, Commercial Representative in Colombia; Eduardo Nieto, Commercial Representative in Chile; and Teresa Catalán, Marketing Manager.

In addition, this year the R&D team also joined the exhibition, with Miguel Ángel Guillén as team director, together with Javier Silva, Ángel Silva, and José Solsona.

TUROMAS would also like to thank its sales and distribution network, whose presence throughout the event made the team even stronger, providing closer and more personalized attention to customers.

The TUROMAS team is very satisfied with the attendance and reception at the trade fair. Participation has been extremely rewarding: not only were the latest developments, innovations, and trends presented, but business relationships were also strengthened.

The company’s image as a reliable, high-quality manufacturer, developed over previous years, has been further consolidated. This was reflected in the large number of existing customers who came to say hello, as well as in the high number of potential customers interested in fully automated solutions.

Most of the visitors TUROMAS received were from Europe, although there were also representatives from Morocco, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, among others.

The profile of visitors to the fair has continued to evolve toward larger processors requiring a higher level of automation.
As a result, TUROMAS has consolidated itself not only as a machinery manufacturer, but also as a benchmark in engineering solutions and comprehensive automation projects.
In addition, the clients who visited our stand showed loyalty and strong brand recognition, making special mention of the after-sales service received.

Several projects have been closed in Argentina, Mexico, Cyprus, South Africa, and the largest project in our history in Ireland. There was also a strong attendance from our LATAM customers, especially from Mexico, with many companies and major projects represented. In addition, the main companies from Australia visited our stand thanks to the collaboration with our official distributor Innovync. We also held very important meetings with some of the leading companies from India, the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt.
Without a doubt, in terms of results and visit quality, this has been the best fair in our history.

With regard to clients from Spain and Portugal, it is worth noting the large number of visits we received and the many active projects, a good number of which are expected to materialize in the coming weeks and in the medium term. Particularly important was the number of clients from the Canary Islands and Portugal. We would like to thank the national sales network for their support and attention at all times.
All of them have conveyed a sense of closeness and satisfaction to us (and the same applies to our export clients), as a result of the work carried out throughout nearly 40 years of company history.
The most important fair for TUROMAS, at a good moment, with challenges still to be achieved, reaping the rewards of everyone’s work and effort and, at the same time, providing fresh energy to face the uncertainty ahead.

Companies from countries where we had little or no presence until recently now already know TUROMAS as a brand of highly reliable, high-quality machines.
As proof, the live cutting demonstrations of 8+8 glass with our compact laminated glass cutting machine, achieving cutting times of under 50 seconds for 8+8 with exceptional cutting quality, left a strong impression on many smaller glass processors, who thanked us for bringing to the fair a machine designed for this important segment of the market.
Also worth highlighting is the shuttle + loading and cutting table solution for jumbo sheets, whose compact footprint and outstanding cycle times proved overwhelming.
The software presented at the fair, together with live EasyPro glass edge deletion demonstrations, were the icing on the cake, delighting every glass processor aware of the current market limits and seeing how TUROMAS clearly surpasses them.
In summary, the constant presence at our stand of clients and new prospects from around the world interested in becoming part of the TUROMAS family made this a fair where the company projected a clear image of growth and success.

At Glasstec, TUROMAS presented its key technologies for intelligent storage, automatic loading and glass cutting, as well as its new software suite. All of this was showcased through live, personalized demonstrations for each client, creating a unique and close experience.

SR-06

Glass storage and loading system for glass up to 6 meters, capable of working with any type of coating and thicknesses from 1.8 mm to 25 mm. The shuttle transports fully loaded racks between two positions without stops, significantly reducing cycle time.

These systems stand out particularly for their modular construction, which allows them to grow alongside the company, and for their almost unlimited ability to adapt to the available space and layout, bypassing columns and even operating between different warehouses.

RUBI 406VA. More automation, more flexibility, more space.

Alongside the SR-06 system, visitors were able to see the RUBI 406VA, the first autonomous cutting table incorporating a 6-meter cutting bridge. Its innovative design allows automatic loading, cutting, and unloading of jumbo glass, ensuring maximum productivity and automation in the smallest possible space.

The automatic loader is integrated into the structure of the cutting table itself, allowing glass to be loaded directly from the SR-06 rack. This optimizes processes in just 35 m², creating significant economic and logistical benefits for the customer.

RUBI 406VA autonomous cutting table

The RUBI 406VA includes new loading arms that are stronger, more reliable, and faster, incorporating a new instant separation system that eliminates the issues associated with sheet separation.

With this new design, speed and loading time improve significantly, reducing loading time to a minimum without compromising safety in any way.

The cutting bridge has been specially designed by the TUROMAS engineering team and manufactured in extruded aluminum, a lightweight material that allows greater speed and acceleration.


RUBI 406VA

ACR – Advanced Coating Removal for EasyPro glass

TUROMAS also presented ACR, Advanced Coating Removal, a new generation of edge deletion system capable of meeting current market needs: maximum quality across a wide variety of coatings.

It incorporates patented innovations that improve the edge deletion process, such as the Advanced Cooling System and the two-phase edge deletion system, which prevents the edges of the protective coating from lifting.

In addition, the equipment includes a high-flow three-phase vacuum cleaner to collect waste and completely remove it from the surface.

LAM 304 laminated glass cutting table

Combined with the RUBI 406VA, TUROMAS showcased a LAM 304 laminated glass cutting table, forming a mixed line capable of processing both types of glass.

The LAM 304 is a laminated glass cutting solution aimed at companies seeking a versatile machine that delivers high quality and strong performance. Thanks to its compact design, the line can cut dimensions up to 3700 mm and glass thicknesses up to 10+10 mm.

TUROMAS Software

 

TUROMAS presented a software suite based on Industry 4.0. These applications understand and analyze equipment performance using the data provided by the machines themselves.

  • StockGlass monitors and controls stock in real time across multiple automated warehouses.
  • StoreGlass manages material stock in a non-automated warehouse.
  • TuromasLink integrates data from the TUROMAS intelligent warehouse with the leading ERP solutions on the market.
  • LinkGlass fully automates the production sequence, eliminating operator intervention in work order selection and load sequencing.
  • Cutting TV is an application that automatically displays optimization layouts, giving the operator all the necessary information for the breaking process at a glance.
  • TuromasSplitter optimizes laminated glass cutting time by balancing work between two cutting bridges.
  • SmartGlass enables the visualization of productivity, availability, efficiency, working hours, processes and materials statistics, and allows report generation.
