Mayte Pérez and Marta Gastón visited TUROMAS and learned first-hand about the company’s expansion plan, which will create 40 new jobs and involve an investment of €7 million in Rubielos de Mora.
The company continues to grow and, over the coming years, will invest €7 million in its expansion project, which has been declared of Regional Interest by the Government of Aragón. This plan will increase production capacity and create 40 new jobs in addition to the current 100. To support this growth, TUROMAS has developed an ambitious expansion plan that will be accelerated thanks to its classification as a project of Regional Interest, approved last November by the Government of Aragón, which will cut administrative deadlines in half.

Tour of the facilities
After a meeting with Miguel Tomás, Antonio Ortega, and Álvaro Tomás — Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and Vice President, respectively — Mayte Pérez and Marta Gastón toured the production plants and offices where the company currently carries out its activity. They also visited, within the same industrial complex, the first building of the expansion plan: an assembly facility dedicated to the manufacturing and commissioning of intelligent flat glass storage systems.
The delegation was able to see how monolithic and laminated glass cutting machines, as well as intelligent storage systems, operate. Miguel Tomás himself explained the cutting process of the machines in detail.

“Today’s visit is a source of pride. TUROMAS is a clear example of the talent that exists in our region and proof that when a company has an idea, works on it, surrounds itself with the best people, and receives support from public institutions, success follows.”
Mayte Pérez
Minister of the Presidency and Institutional Relations of the Government of Aragón
Project phases
In the first phase of this expansion project, planned through 2028, the company will build and equip a total of four new industrial buildings with a budget of €3.2 million and create 30 jobs.
Then, between 2028 and 2031, it will carry out the second phase, in which it plans to invest an additional €3.5 to €4 million and create another ten jobs. This second phase includes the expansion of the current industrial buildings and the connection of the open-plan facilities with the machining unit, warehouse, and older buildings. It also includes the installation of an automatic paint tunnel to supply all production facilities, centralizing this process in a single location.
Statements
“More than 35 years ago, a project started in a town of 600 inhabitants, and today we are pleased to share that we are resuming this expansion plan, which involves the construction of 15,000 square meters of production space and the hiring of around 30 employees in these initial phases.”
Antonio Ortega
Chief Executive Officer of TUROMAS
In addition to generating new direct jobs, TUROMAS expects an increase in indirect employment, as local suppliers with whom it regularly works will likely need to reinforce their teams to meet growing demand. As a result, the company estimates that electricians, machining specialists, and other businesses will need to expand their workforce by around 25% to 30%.
TUROMAS would like to thank the Government of Aragón for this visit to its facilities.
