With more than 30 years of trust in TUROMAS, the Chilean company demonstrates its commitment and experience in the local market. It operates more than 25 machines from the Spanish manufacturer and, since its beginnings, has been in constant evolution, always striving to deliver the most complete and advanced solutions to its clients.
Arquetipo was founded with a clear vision: to transform homes through quality and innovation. It began by manufacturing custom windows that quickly gained recognition for their design and durability. Over time, Arquetipo became synonymous with elegance and excellence in the Chilean construction and design market.
Two years after its founding, the company faced a new challenge. As demand increased, they realized that to maintain product quality and meet delivery deadlines, they needed to master the glass cutting process. This turning point led them to invest in advanced technology — and that is when the Spanish manufacturer TUROMAS came into play.

We spoke with Joaquín Baeza, CEO of the company.
“I still remember when we bought our first laminated glass cutting table. I’m not a technician, I come from a commercial background, so I explained to Miguel what I needed and he told me, ‘Joaquín, this is the table you need.’ And that’s exactly how it was. One of the first laminated glass cutting tables developed by TUROMAS was purchased by us.”

The passion for quality and innovation has continued to drive Arquetipo over the decades. The company has not only focused on continuously improving its products but also on expanding its reach. Today, Arquetipo operates five branches located in Santiago, Valparaíso, Antofagasta, Coquimbo, and Talca. This expansion ensures strong nationwide coverage and allows the company to deliver its products quickly and safely across the country.

“Life has taught me that when you build long-term relationships, they work well. It has worked very well for me with my suppliers. I have been a TUROMAS client since our beginnings, through all the ups and downs any relationship can have. (…) Miguel and I realized that we were both building our businesses from scratch, and we grew together.”

During 2022, Arquetipo reaffirmed its trust in TUROMAS by taking another significant step: starting to work with jumbo glass. This milestone was achieved through the acquisition of the latest generation of TUROMAS automated storage and glass cutting solutions.
This strategic collaboration further strengthens Arquetipo’s position as a leader in the industry, enabling the company to maintain its commitment to delivering the highest quality products.
Innovation in machinery
The installed machinery includes an intelligent rack shuttle storage system SR-06 for jumbo glass sheets (6100 x 3300 mm / 240” x 130”). This solution combines efficiency and versatility, offering minimal cycle times and the ability to work with different thicknesses, coatings, and sizes, with adjustable load capacities. Its advanced control technology provides high speed and precision, significantly reducing loading times and increasing productivity.

Complete installation: SR-06, RUBI 406VA, and LAM 304
Alongside the SR-06 storage system, a RUBI 406VA monolithic glass cutting table has been installed. Its innovative automatic loading system is integrated directly into the table structure, optimizing loading, positioning, cutting, and unloading processes, delivering maximum productivity and automation within just 35 m².

To complete the installation, a second loading and cutting line for laminated glass was added: LAM 304 + MV300. Designed with a compact layout, it performs loading, edge deletion, cutting, breaking, and separation efficiently on glass up to 10+10 mm thick, including glass with high-rigidity PVB interlayers.
A combination of advanced features and technologies ensures efficient, precise, and high-quality glass cutting. From its robust design to its advanced control system, every element is engineered to optimize cutting processes and enhance productivity across different industrial applications.

These automated cutting tables, powered by advanced technology, allow Arquetipo to ensure maximum efficiency in cutting monolithic and laminated glass sheets across all its branches. Through specialized software, material usage is optimized, generating significant cost savings for its clients.
Another key factor strengthening this partnership is technical service. TUROMAS provides direct technical and commercial support in Chile, enabling the company to build and maintain close, long-term relationships with its clients.
“TUROMAS has the ability to build strong relationships with people. Today, it is the closest line of cutting tables and intelligent storage systems for us. I trust TUROMAS. Now the second generation is leading the company, and they have managed to maintain that closeness — and I believe that is essential.”
