TUROMAS returns to Glasstec, the leading trade fair for the flat glass industry

TUROMAS returned to Glasstec 2024. The event, held in Düsseldorf from October 22 to 25, 2024, provided the perfect stage to showcase the latest innovations in glass storage, loading and cutting machinery. A total of 1,257 exhibitors from 50 countries and nearly 32,000 visitors from 121 nationalities gathered to explore the latest trends and innovations across the entire glass value chain.

With a 600 m² stand located in Hall 15 – B24, TUROMAS made a strong impact through its largest-ever display of cutting-edge machinery, automation systems and intelligent glass cutting solutions. The combination of advanced technology, live demonstrations and direct interaction with company experts turned Glasstec 2024 into a resounding success for the company. Participation was highly rewarding, not only for presenting innovations and trends, but also for strengthening existing business relationships.

A team of professionals at the service of the customer

At this edition, TUROMAS was represented by Miguel Tomás (President), Álvaro Tomás (CEO), José Luis Escriche (COO) and Antonio Ortega (CFO). The sales team included Álvaro Doñate (Spain & Portugal), Oriol Llorens (Europe), Santiago Blasco (Africa & Middle East), Eduardo Nieto (Chile & Argentina), Juan Dávila (Colombia), Bonifacio Cuadros (Mexico), Teresa Catalán (Marketing) and Teresa Salvador (After-sales service).

From the technical area, the company was represented by Miguel Ángel Guillén (R&D Director), Ángel Silva (Software Manager), José Solsona (Prototyping Manager) and Daniel Gimeno (Technical Office Manager). For the first time, Alfonso Lafaja (CEO of Distecglass) also attended, representing the group’s company specialized in distribution and technical advisory of consumables and solutions for glass processing.

This year, in addition to Glasstec, TUROMAS and Distecglass also confirmed their participation in Veteco 2024 in Madrid, from November 5 to 8 (Hall #10E08).

TUROMAS also expressed its gratitude to its global sales and distribution network, whose presence strengthened the team and enabled a more personalized customer experience throughout the event.

Technological innovations presented by TUROMAS

TUROMAS showcased its latest solutions in intelligent storage, automated loading and cutting, as well as its software suite, through live and personalized demonstrations.

LR-07: Automatic glass loader featuring a patented arc-loading system that significantly increases productivity. It can process standard and jumbo glass sheets with various coatings and thicknesses from 1.8 mm to 25 mm.

SG-06 (SaveGlass): A system designed to store offcuts safely, with full traceability of dimensions and material type for optimization processes.

RUBI 517C: High-performance monolithic glass cutting line with linear motor technology, offering speeds up to 310 m/min and acceleration of 19 m/s². Equipped with the 4-Tool system for perfect cutting across all thicknesses without adjustments.

The machine also incorporated the ACR advanced edge deletion system, capable of removing Low-E coatings and plastic protections in a single pass, along with patented cooling and two-phase processing systems.

Additionally, it included a laser marking system for traceability, enabling high-speed, high-quality marking up to 100×100 mm.

LAM 405: Laminated glass cutting line designed for high productivity and versatility, capable of processing thicknesses from 2+2 to 10+10. It features a compact design and an optimized cutting cycle with reduced processing time.

The system also integrates advanced positioning for straight cuts and glass railings, improving precision and reducing setup time.

A dedicated software area allowed visitors to interact with solutions such as StockGlass, Cutting TV and SmartGlass, highlighting the role of digitalization in the glass industry.

Throughout the four-day event, TUROMAS received a steady flow of visitors from Europe, Latin America, Australia and the Middle East. This resulted in numerous high-quality interactions and the closing of significant commercial agreements.
