From September 16 to 19, TUROMAS participated in a new edition of VITRUM 2025, the international glass technology exhibition held at Fiera Milano Rho (Italy).
The event brought together leading companies in the glass industry, consolidating its position as a key meeting point to discover the latest innovations and exchange insights with professionals from around the world.

TUROMAS was present at stand #M01 N04, where it welcomed clients and partners from Southeast Asia, the Middle East, South America, Europe, and Africa. This international presence reflected the company’s global reach and the growing interest in its solutions for glass storage, loading, and cutting machinery.

The TUROMAS team at VITRUM 2025 was led by:
- Álvaro Tomás, CEO, TUROMAS.
- Álvaro Doñate, Area Manager Spain & Portugal.
- Oriol Llorens, Area Manager Europe.
- Teresa Catalán, Marketing Manager.
- Eduardo, Area Manager Chile division.
- Santiago Blasco, Area Manager Africa, Middle East & Asia.

In Milan, TUROMAS continued showcasing the LAM 600, first introduced during the company’s 40th anniversary event held on September 12 at its headquarters in Rubielos de Mora (Teruel, Spain). This is a high-production laminated glass cutting line designed for companies seeking maximum automation, versatility, and quality for thicknesses ranging from 2+2 to 12+12.

With a useful cutting length of 6,000 mm, the LAM 600 integrates TUROMAS’ new breaking and separation system, reducing the cutting cycle by 10 seconds and enabling processing with slightly heated PVB, improving final quality. Additionally, the measuring carriage combined with the MCC belt loading table automates, within a single line, the loading, positioning, cutting, and unloading processes for laminated glass.

The solution also incorporates an advanced positioning system for straight cuts and laminated glass railings, using mechanical stops that allow fast adjustment without complex setups, reducing preparation times and avoiding unnecessary downtime.

4TOOL: precision cutting from 0.55 mm
Another highlight at VITRUM was the 4tool technology, developed and patented by TUROMAS in 2008. This pioneering system integrates four automatic cutting tools, each with its own cutting wheel, lubrication system, and optimized pressure cylinder, enabling perfect cutting across all glass thicknesses without manual changes.

The first tool is specifically designed for cutting glass from 0.55 mm up to 2 mm — a capability TUROMAS has offered for over 15 years, representing a key differentiator in the market. Since 2008, TUROMAS has ensured reliable, precise, and defect-free cutting at minimal thicknesses of 0.55 mm, consolidating its position as a technological leader in this field.
The remaining tools cover the most common thickness ranges, from 2 mm to 12 mm, as well as thick glass up to 25 mm, using a larger diameter cutting wheel.

Through its participation in VITRUM 2025, TUROMAS also gained first-hand insight into the trends shaping the future of the industry, reinforcing its commitment to developing solutions tailored to the evolving needs of glass manufacturers worldwide.
