TUROMAS unveils €1.5 million investment project to the Government of Aragon and applies for Just Transition and FITE funds

TUROMAS, a company based in Rubielos de Mora and specialized in the manufacturing of flat glass storage, loading, and cutting machinery, has presented a preview of its 1.5 million euro investment project to regional and provincial authorities, aimed at consolidating industrial growth and strengthening production capacity.

The presentation took place during a recent visit to the TUROMAS facilities by Manuel Blasco, Minister of Environment and Tourism of the Government of Aragon; Joaquin Juste, President of the Provincial Government of Teruel; Miguel Tellado, General Secretary of the People’s Party; and other local authorities, who learned firsthand about the company’s expansion plans.

The project, which is contingent upon obtaining aid from the Just Transition Funds and the FITE (Teruel Investment Fund), includes the construction of a new 2,000-square-meter industrial warehouse. This facility will house a new production line and modernized offices tailored to the needs of a company with international reach. The investment will increase production capacity, optimize industrial processes, and strengthen coordination between the company’s various departments.

The investment plan also includes the creation of new companies within the TUROMAS Group, reflecting a clear commitment to diversification and the generation of industrial synergies. Among these is a new company dedicated to manufacturing complementary glass and metal products, which will expand the group’s portfolio of solutions.

These actions are being carried out within the framework of TUROMAS’s recognition as a project declared of ‘Regional Interest’ by the Government of Aragon. This distinction highlights its strategic importance for the industrial, economic, and technological development of the Community, as well as its role as a key driving force (anchor company) for the Gudar Javalambre region and a generator of skilled employment.

The plan anticipates the creation of 15 new direct jobs and an increase in indirect employment for local service and manufacturing providers (electricians, machinists, and auxiliary workshops), who may need to increase their workforces by 25-30% to meet the growing demand.

With this initiative, TUROMAS reaffirms its commitment to industrial development in rural areas, sustainability, and innovation. At the same time, the company is actively participating in the Government of Aragon’s aid programs, which have recently been modified to allow the inclusion of strategic projects like TUROMAS in the Just Transition Funds and FITE, ensuring that this plan can be fully executed during this fiscal year.
