From July 16 to 18, Centro Citibanamex in Mexico City will host a new edition of Glasstech Mexico, the most important event for the glass industry in Latin America. For GRUPO TUROMAS, this edition will be especially significant, marking the official launch of TUROMAS MEXICO, the group’s new local division.

Participation in Glasstech is not new for TUROMAS, but the context is. With an active headquarters now established in Mexico City, the group reinforces its commitment to a market that has shown consistent growth in recent years, where technical and commercial proximity has become a key factor.
The new division, located in Mexico City, will provide direct support to local customers. From this center, TUROMAS will offer technical service, commercial consulting, and immediate availability of machinery, spare parts, and consumables from both TUROMAS and Distecglass — the group’s company specialized in consumables for glass processing and transformation.

During the exhibition, the TUROMAS and Distecglass teams will be present at stand D01, where visitors will be able to discover the latest solutions in flat glass process automation, including cutting, loading, and storage systems, as well as a wide range of high-quality consumables and spare parts designed to optimize equipment performance.
As part of the showcase, a RUBI 303VA will be displayed in operation — an automatic glass cutting table capable of loading, cutting, and unloading glass directly from its structure. Equipped with TUROMAS’ tilting arm loading system with suction cups and integrated breaking as standard, it stands out for its precision, versatility, and performance. This model belongs to the RUBI 300 series, which includes up to eight models designed for companies seeking a compact and efficient solution to automate cutting processes for standard or jumbo glass.

For Distecglass, this exhibition marks its first participation as an exhibitor in Mexico. Together with TUROMAS and TUROMAS MEXICO, it will help strengthen the group’s presence both in the country and across the region, while exploring new collaboration opportunities with companies throughout Latin America.
At the stand, visitors will also discover some of Distecglass’ most representative products, including 10 mm edge deletion wheels, suction cups, separators, measuring equipment such as the Testoxy2, and EDTM systems for detecting coatings, thickness, and cavities. Additionally, two product mock-ups will be showcased, demonstrating real applications of these solutions in window systems and minimalist sliding systems.
Glasstech will also serve as the stage for the official presentation of the new division to clients, partners, and industry professionals. Throughout the event, meetings and visits will be organized with the local team to showcase firsthand the scope of this new phase.
With more than 40 years of experience, TUROMAS continues to grow. The launch of TUROMAS MEXICO represents a strategic step to consolidate the group’s presence in Latin America and continue building long-term relationships across the region.
