TUROMAS addresses one of the current demands of the glass industry with its new cutting system for laminated safety glass railings. Composed of two mechanical stops that enable fast and precise positioning, the new TUROMAS system eliminates the need for additional tools and significantly reduces cutting time, optimizing workflow efficiency.
How the LAM-BA system works
The TUROMAS system consists of two mechanical stops that work together to ensure accurate glass positioning. The first stop, located on the measuring carriage, allows the operator to position and rotate the glass until it is perfectly squared with the second stop, positioned on the cutting line.
Both stops are automatically adjusted according to the largest dimension of the railing, maximizing the use of the glass sheet. This design eliminates the need for additional tools or accessories, reducing the risk of errors and enhancing operational efficiency.
Unlike other systems, potential error is limited to the tolerance of a single stop, preventing additional deviations that may occur in more complex setups.
Advantages of the stop-based positioning system
- Process efficiency
The glass is positioned in a single step. The stops automatically adjust to the required dimensions, allowing the operator to square and rotate the piece in one action. This simplifies the process and significantly reduces cutting times. Additionally, the absence of auxiliary positioning tools improves overall productivity.
- Precision in laminated glass up to 10+10 mm
The system is designed to meet the requirements of the Technical Building Code (CTE), which regulates laminated safety glass in construction projects, particularly for railings. It ensures precise scoring, breaking, and separation of glass up to 10+10 mm thick, delivering high-quality results without additional processes.
- Nested railing cutting
The system also enables fast and accurate cutting of nested railings. Thanks to corner-based positioning for each piece, consecutive cuts can be performed without aligning shapes in a straight line. This provides high versatility for complex or custom projects.
- Dedicated software for railing cutting
The system includes a specialized software module designed to streamline operations. This program allows both the import of existing optimizations and the creation of new shapes tailored to specific project requirements.
Available software features:
- Open part: The software detects optimizations that include railings, allowing users to select the desired shape and transfer it directly to the cutting interface.
- Draw railings: This tool enables the design of railings using predefined parameters such as base, diagonal between points, side lengths, and angles. This ensures any design can be quickly and accurately adapted.
Measurement and verification
When a railing is included within an optimization layout, the software automatically detects it and displays the cutting path along with required instructions, such as rotating the piece by 180 degrees. It also allows measurement verification at any point of the shape, ensuring a perfect fit.
- Benefits for the construction sector
The implementation of this system provides significant advantages for the construction industry. Production times are considerably reduced thanks to process efficiency, while cuts meet the highest quality standards. This ensures that the final pieces are suitable for demanding architectural projects.
The stop-based positioning system represents a practical and efficient solution for cutting laminated glass railings. With this approach, it becomes an essential tool for optimizing cutting processes and delivering consistent, high-quality results in every project.
