The Serbian company specialized in flat glass cutting has strengthened its position in the international market through close collaboration with TUROMAS, one of the leading manufacturers of flat glass processing machinery. This strategic alliance has enabled Konkav Konveks to optimize production and meet the demands of large-scale projects around the world.
Located in the Serbian capital of Belgrade, this leading company operates in its own facilities with more than “1231441” square meters of production space, which management plans to expand in the near future. It relies on an automated infrastructure that has recently been reinforced with equipment from leading European brands, including TUROMAS, in order to improve efficiency and quality across all production processes.

We spoke with Milomir Radovanović, CEO and co-owner of Konkav Konveks, who shared his experience of joining forces with TUROMAS and highlighted the transformation of his company over recent decades.
“Our story goes back almost 30 years, initially focused on the automotive industry,” says Radovanović. “However, at the beginning of the 2000s, we decided to diversify our operations into the construction sector, orienting our entire infrastructure toward jumbo glass processing.”

The transition toward larger-scale projects led Konkav Konveks to seek cutting-edge solutions that would allow the company to adapt to change and improve both productivity and product quality. Radovanović highlights the choice of TUROMAS as its main equipment supplier as a crucial step in that direction. “The installation of the TUROMAS equipment was flawless,” he states. “We were very satisfied with the quality from the very beginning, which confirmed our decision to continue collaborating.”

Two automatic lines
The machines installed by the Serbian manufacturer consist of two automatic glass cutting lines.
The first addition is the RUBI 516C complete monolithic glass cutting line, an advanced solution equipped with linear motors that guarantees unmatched performance and quality in every cut. It is the only cutting table with this technology in Serbia and in much of the Balkans.
It incorporates a cutting system with 4 individual cutting tools with automatic selection. Each one has its own cutting wheel, lubrication system, and pressure cylinder specifically sized for its cutting range.
In addition, extra software — Cutting TV — has been installed to assist in the cut opening process. It automatically displays optimizations so that, at a glance, the operator has all the information needed for the breaking process. Once the cutting table has evacuated the piece, the display changes automatically without the need to press any button or pedal.
RUBI 516C
The second line, and the first to be installed, was the LAM 506SXR laminated glass line. This equipment allows positioning, rotating, edge deletion, cutting, and separating glass up to 12 + 12 mm in a fully automatic way. This technological solution guarantees an efficient and precise process in jumbo laminated glass cutting, making it possible to maximize resources and achieve high-quality results even at large thicknesses.
