TUROMAS donates the value of its Christmas dinner -

TUROMAS continues its solidarity initiatives and once again donates to the elderly residence in Nogueruelas, managed by the local council.

TUROMAS continues its commitment to social responsibility during the health crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. One of its latest initiatives has been the donation of €4,000, originally allocated to the company’s Christmas dinner, to the elderly residence in the nearby town of Nogueruelas.

The municipal residence of Nogueruelas has more than twenty-five years of history and in recent years has undergone a transformation process, expanding from 24 places for independent residents to 40 assisted places.

Marcos Benajes, mayor of the town, explained the challenges faced by a municipality like Nogueruelas in managing such a facility. Economic difficulties are compounded by the responsibility of continuing to provide care for elderly residents from the town and surrounding villages.

Although the residence receives support from organizations such as the Gúdar-Javalambre region and the Provincial Council of Teruel, this is not sufficient. For this reason, the mayor expressed his gratitude for TUROMAS’ contribution.

Miguel Tomás, President of TUROMAS, visited the residence together with the mayor and personally presented the donation. The funds will be used to purchase equipment and furniture, as well as to cover outstanding payments to suppliers.
