The China International Industrial Glass Technical Exhibition, more commonly known as China Glass, is the largest professional glass fair in Asia and one of the two most important in the sector worldwide. This annual exhibition is organized by the China Ceramic Society every spring.
Nearly 1,000 exhibitors from 30 Asian, European, and American countries and states participated from May 22nd to 25th in the thirtieth edition of China Glass. On this occasion, the event returned to the halls of the New China International Exhibition Center (NCIEC) located in Beijing.
Like other major national and international machinery manufacturers, TUROMAS did not want to miss the opportunity to showcase its achievements and progress in this benchmark space. Traveling to the capital of the Asian country were the Vice President of TUROMAS, Álvaro Tomás, and part of the commercial team represented by Ruth Ruiz, Guillermo Ortega, and Eduardo Nieto.
The presence of TUROMAS at the thirtieth edition of China Glass exceeded all expectations; during the first day alone, 20% more visits were recorded than the total count for the 2015 edition. These visits translated into the closing of significant agreements and the expansion of interest in the Spanish machinery as far as India, a market where a high volume of future sales is anticipated.
“According to our strategy of gaining positioning in Asian markets and strengthening our commercial relationships with our new sales network in countries such as the MENA region, India, Vietnam, Japan, the Philippines, Korea, and Australia, it is essential for us to have a presence at this fair. It is the benchmark exhibition from the Middle East to Oceania and, globally, the second most important after Glasstec,” states Álvaro Tomás.
The TUROMAS stand attracted the attention of potential customers but also served as a meeting point for current clients from Spain, Portugal, and other European and South American countries who stopped by to say hello and exchange impressions.

Parallel to the exhibition and commercial meetings, technical seminars were held addressing topics such as innovations, trends, and the evolution of the sector. Matters linked to smart manufacturing, solutions, applications, decoration, or energy saving and environmental respect were among those discussed.
Dinner with a Mediterranean Flavor
On Thursday, May 23rd, TUROMAS invited its customers and distributors to dinner. The chosen venue for the gathering was the terrace of the modern Migas Mercado restaurant, located on a rooftop in the heart of Beijing, where premium Mediterranean food is served.
For over three hours, attendees enjoyed a comfortable space and atmosphere to converse and continue connecting outside the fairgrounds, as well as fantastic views of Beijing’s most emblematic monuments.
