“In the 1980s, we bought one of the first glass cutting machines manufactured by Miguel Tomás. Since then, we have built a very strong relationship, both professionally and personally.”
Interview with Vicente Cervera, President of Cerviglas
Grupo Cerviglas, founded in Turís, Valencia in 1980, has spent more than 40 years bringing glass to life. This long-standing track record, combined with experience, technological innovation, and the ability to anticipate market demands, has positioned this Valencian company as a national market leader in the design and development of cutting-edge projects.
Today, it has a team of more than 130 people and 70,000 m² of production space, where all glass design, processing, and manufacturing operations are carried out.

Renewal of the cutting machinery fleet
As part of its commitment to differentiation and quality, CERVIGLAS maintains a policy of continuous investment in production technologies. For this reason, in 2019 it began a process of renewing all its glass cutting lines for both monolithic and laminated glass.
“In 2019, we began replacing all our cutting machines, which were already from the TUROMAS brand, with the manufacturer’s new models.”
The process was completed last February with the installation of the last of the four cutting lines acquired. The new machinery fleet consists of:
Jumbo monolithic glass cutting line RUBI 516C. Specially designed to operate as part of an automatic cutting line, its linear motor technology guarantees unprecedented performance and quality in any type of cut.
Laminated glass cutting table LAM 304. Semi-automatic table for cutting laminated glass up to 3700 mm and thicknesses of 10+10 mm. It incorporates an ultra-fast quartz lamp, vacuum devices for holding and stretching the glass from below, and a blade, allowing Low-E glass to be processed with total safety.
Two automatic cutting lines for laminated glass LAM 505SXR and LAM 506SXR. Both lines are designed for companies requiring maximum productivity and automation. They allow positioning, rotating, edge deletion, cutting, and separating glass up to 12+12 mm in a fully automatic way, even on glass with high-hardness and high-rigidity PVB interlayers.
The useful cutting size of the LAM 505SXR and LAM 506SXR lines is 4700 mm and 6000 mm respectively.
In short, four cutting systems integrating the latest technological innovations and developments, enabling CERVIGLAS to meet the high standards of quality and productivity demanded by its clients.

TUROMAS AND CERVIGLAS
The relationship between CERVIGLAS and TUROMAS has a long history. It began in the 1980s with the purchase of one of the first machines manufactured by Miguel Tomás, founder of TUROMAS. Since then, the trust placed by the group in the brand and the TUROMAS team has been total.
Antonio Ortega, CEO of TUROMAS; Álvaro Tomás, Vice President of TUROMAS; Miguel Tomás, President of TUROMAS; Carles Almela, Process Director at Cerviglas; David Cervera, Financial Controller at Cerviglas; Vicente Cervera, President of Cerviglas; Javier Cervera, Deputy Director at Cerviglas
“TUROMAS offers service, quality, and efficiency. It delivers unquestionable profitability. I do not believe there are other manufacturers on the market that can surpass them.”
Every cutting table that has passed through Cerviglas’ facilities during these 40 years of history has been exclusively from the TUROMAS brand. In total, around 20 cutting systems have accompanied the Valencian manufacturer throughout its continuous process of evolution.
A process of growth in which both companies have worked hand in hand, becoming technological partners who share experience and knowledge to face new developments and future projects.
Cerviglas offers tailor-made projects for all types of construction, from major architectural developments to interior spaces, always prioritizing quality, safety, aesthetics, and comfort.
Among its latest projects are the 9 d’Octubre Administrative Complex (Valencia, Spain), the headquarters of EDEM Business School and the LANZADERA Entrepreneurs Building designed by Juan Añón, the new La Fe Hospital (Valencia, Spain) by Ramón Esteve and Alfonso Casares, and the City of Arts and Sciences complex in Valencia, designed by Santiago Calatrava.
