Krysztal chooses TUROMAS to renew its machinery

Krysztal is a glass processor located in Nowy Sacz, a city in southeastern Poland. At the helm of the company are the Plata couple and their three children. Janek Plata, the head of the family, started manufacturing windows from his own home in 1984.

Aware of the need to improve the excellence of the work and reduce customer waiting times, he began investing in new machinery. Later came the diversification of services and the acquisition of new customers, both individual and wholesale. Thirty-five years later, the company has half a hundred employees.

In addition to processing monolithic and laminated glass, its offer includes edge processing, panel cutting, and even the manufacture of stained glass with decorative resins or sand-etched glass. One of the most meticulous and interesting projects they have carried out was a stained-glass window for Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, on the occasion of the Olympic Games.

The company sells both within and outside its borders, primarily to other European countries. Germany, Austria, England, Ireland, and Sweden are the main destinations for its exports. Krysztal’s largest customers are glass, furniture, and window manufacturers.

“If someone wants to be a leader, they have to be with leaders. And, in our opinion, TUROMAS is a leader in the glass cutting machine market.”

Piotr Plata

SALES AND EXPORT MANAGER

Piotr Plata, son of Janek and current Sales and Export Manager, does not lose sight of the business tradition, but he is also aware of the need to modernize and adapt to current times.

“Today, glass is in fashion and demand is very high. Therefore, we need qualified, fast, and safe machinery to satisfy the needs of our customers by offering them high-standard glass,” maintains Piotr.

The Polish company has completely renewed its fleet of glass cutting machines and has chosen TUROMAS for this change, after learning about the benefits of the Spanish product and concluding that this innovation would improve the service to its customers.

The monolithic glass cutting table chosen by Krysztal is the RUBI 403VAC-3 (In the [#TuromasInTheWorld] section) and for cutting laminated glass, including laminated safety glass (VSG), the chosen model is the LAM 304 (In the [#TuromasInTheWorld] section).

The incorporation of TUROMAS cutting tables has streamlined production times thanks to the automatic loading of glass sheets, the possibility of removing the protective plastic coating from the table itself, and the automatic labeling system.

“These machines are the most important ones we have in our factory. We have been able to improve our productivity; we can handle a larger volume of orders in less time. This is essential for us because our customers expect very high standards from our product,” acknowledges Piotr.

The great improvement in performance, combined with high precision in cutting that minimizes subsequent glass processing, is what Krysztal was looking for and has found in TUROMAS; they are satisfied with the investment.
